A recent Government consultation seeks views on proposals to reform the funding framework, including the partnership funding formula and ensuring that funding for flood risk management is distributed effectively. This could potentially support more funding for the delivery of Property Flood Resilience, Natural Flood Management and SuDS.
Defra working closely with the Environment Agency (EA) and using the new National Flood Risk Assessment and data on proposed future floods projects has developed the proposals. It should enable a simplified approach to improve flood risk management for thousands of homes and businesses.
